Utility Companies

The Township is served by three different Electric Companies:
The majority of the Township is serviced by private on-let wells, or community-based water systems.
Public water service, where available, is provided by the Pennsylvania American Water Company.


The vast majority of the Township utilizes individual on-lot sewage systems or community-based systems maintained by private developers or HOAs.
A small portion of the Township, along the Butler Township line, is currently serviced by Pennsylvania American Water Company, who recently obtained the Butler Area Sewer Authority.
The Connoquenessing Township Board of Supervisors and Sewer Authority are currently in the beginning stages of an Act 537 Plan, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, with the projected area to service most of the southeastern portion of the Township, particularly along the Route 68 corridor.
