Township Tax Collector

The Township’s tax collector handles the Per Capita and Real Estate Taxes.


Revenue for Connoquenessing Township is comprised by a 3.2 mill real estate tax, plus a one percent earned income tax (EIT). EIT is shared equally with the Butler Area School District.

In addition, a flat-fee Local Services Tax (LST) of $52.00 per year is assessed to each person employed in the Township.

The EIT/PST/LST Register is the official source of withholding information for employers and is maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).

About these Taxes

Bills are mailed twice a year, on March 1st and August 1st

  • March 1st – Butler County/Connoquenessing Township property tax notices are mailed out
  • April 30th – Last day to pay discount for Butler County/Connoquenessing Township property taxes
  • June 30th – Last day to pay face for Butler County/Connoquenessing Township property taxes
  • August 1st – School property tax notices are mailed out
  • September 30th – Last day to pay discount for school property taxes
  • November 30th – Last day to pay face for school property taxes
  • December 31st – Last day to pay current year property taxes

Important Notices

  • Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the tax payer of payment. If a bill is not received please call the tax collector to obtain a new one.
  • Real estate taxes not paid by December 31st of the current year will be returned to the Tax Claim Bureau.
  • For delinquent tax information please contact Tax Claim.
  • Per capita taxes not paid by December 31st of the current year will be turned over to Statewide for collections.
